omg. i can't believe its actually the holidays! congratulations everyone, you survived a whole term of school in 2010! aren't you all just so proud of yourselves? ;) it just sucks how there's only two weeks... so little time, so much to do!
though im excited and everything, the holiday just aint that great. sigh yes, thats right, i have heaps of homework. and no, im not exaggerating unfortunately ): the backpack i bought to cherry's place is just FILLED with homework. thats how sad it is.
anyway, today, i just couldn't help myself but keep staring at the clock every two seconds. that was how much i wanted school to end! but i reckon it was okay, apart from the fact that i had nearly every subject today...and i had double maths. eugh. but at least ms kilpatrick was nice enough to give out three gummy bunnies per person as a 'maths party' HAHA.
i also had an environmental committee meeting, and we watched some pretty good animations about consumerism! you should totally check it out, i loved the video :)
and i reckon our committee came up with an awesome idea, cause we wanted to get the opinions of students to see what they want us to do, and to collect the ideas, we're having this fake tree put up in front of the principle's office where people can write their ideas on fake leaves and stick it onto the tree...this way, the more ideas we have, the more the tree is 'growing', isn't that so cool? ;D
after i rushed back to the boarding house (i literally ran back), i was lucky enough to get a ride from helen, my badminton buddy (aka CHINA NUMBER ONE) gave me a ride to boxhill...though it was SUPER nice of her to give me a ride, i actually ended up walking a longer distance than if i had taken the bus T_T so yeahh...not very smart huh?
anyway, carrying my heavy backpack full of homework, my giant ass black bag full of clothes and my guitar, i survived the treacherous journey to boxhill central and managed to not get lost and find my way to maccas ;D aren't y'all so proud of me? LOLOL
while i was walking to maccas with my bags, i checked my phone and found a text from ben and cherry! so while i was waiting at maccas for cherry, ben came and kept me company. and guess who was with ben? TERRY XIE. AHHAA he used to go to my primary school, so i was like WOAHHH YOU CHANGED O_O HAHAHA. man, i felt so short cause i was wearing boots and all, and everyone else was so damn tall T_T and then i saw bertram and tracy and i was like WOAHHH HEYYY! and we just chatted a bit... they wanted to kidnap me though cause i cant go to chaddy with them tmr and i kinda promised... yeah im a bad friend ): but it was pree hilarious though, cause bertram tried to get me to come with him by taking my bags, so i ended up having my black bag between my legs with my guitar vertically on it and my arms wrapped around it XD everyone was like cracking up HAHAHA
and so, cherry FINALLY came, and instead of going home, we walked around box hill and bumped into my friends a few times, including bertram and tracy xD i was sooooo tired though cause my bags were seriously heavy, but darren, cherry's friend, was nice enough to help me carry my guitar for a bit :) so it was all good Xd then we caught the bus to pines and cherry's dad came and picked us up ;D
well nothing much happened after that, we just went on the internet, skyped, etc etc. i had an awesome asian dinner though. loved it :D i also tried on two of cherry's white dresses for the white party on sunday, and i've chosen one as a backup in case i can't get anything tmr... i can't wait, > <
and for all those boarders out there, have a safe flight! i'll miss you all so much :( see you in around two weeks, and remember to post on your blogs so i can see what you've been up to!
anyways, enough blabbering from me now...

hellooo thereee, it's me again. let me just rant about how badly i did in my maths test. it's not that i didn't understand what i learnt in class, it's not that i didn't remember the concepts taught in class, the test was just plain hard. man, i had such a hard time, from the first second i got my test, i was stressing till the last mili-second. i swear this test is going to be my worst math test. ever. i didn't even do some questions, and that's a first. LKSDFJSLKFJSDF keel mee :(
how did teddy die? the only clue: a calculator. obviously a maths test ):
but i guess something to cheer me up is the white party! can't believe i got invited, it'll be my first party ever in melbourne! (well, in my life actually, but who cares) it's this party where everyone has to wear white...but thats about it. AHHAHA STILL, it sounds soooo cool! it's just like gossip girl (: so like, im going shopping with sally i think on saturday...then she's gonna meet up with me on sunday so we can go together, then i'll be crashing at her place... i hope i find something nice to wear!
another thing to cheer me up is that tomorrow is the last day of term 1! i can't believe it! the term has gone by so slowly, yet so fastly... do i even make sense? still, i'm just plain happy that we'll be freed from the manacles of school for two weeks, though the concept of homework still haunts us no matter how hard we try to keep it hidden under the rug.
i got another easter present today! natsuda (i love you) gave me a lil easter egg and a note! it's so nice of her hehe ^ ^

hellooo! i am again procrastinating, because i SERIOUSLY CANT BE STUFFED REVISING FOR MATHS TEST TMR. sooooooo, sorry about not posting yesterday, was kinda busy i guess :\ anywayy, just doing the usual.
today, when i came back from school, something caught my eye on the bed. and lo behold, there was a packet of easter eggs! it was from one of the boardinghouse staff... it was so nice of her :) so i took some pictures with my bear! sorry, my idea with my teddy posing to show what i did didnt really continue did it? i've been busy, please forgive me?

heyyy! sorry for not posting in suchh a longggggg timee! (not that anyone reads this anyway, but yeah xD ) you see, SO MANY THINGS happened over the six days, so i was really busy all the time > < lemme just give you a brief summary here :)
wednesday: t.o.k camp thursday: t.o.k camp friday: t.o.k camp + melbourne grammar social saturday: sleeping in + kevyn's 16th birthday dinner sunday: coming back from cherry's + doing laundry + homework
so yeah. DDDDDD: now i shall write a longer version of all the days... i'll probs leave out some details cause i ceebs and i can't remember them anyway... LOLOLOL and sorry for not taking any pics on tok camp though i promised... i couldnt be stuffed D:
wednesday first day of t.o.k camp and it was pretty good :) i shared a room with tessa, and jane, sally and amy got the room next to us :D our room was sooooooooo hot though :( cause we were on the second floor D: we didnt really do much since it was the first day, but we watched a movie :) i reckon it was pretty good, it was about this girl called helen keller who lost her sight and hearing at the age of 18 months or sth, and about how she learnt sign language... it's so sad D: but then there were funny bits, like how she and her tutor were just slapping each other like crazy. xDDDDDDDDD but yeah, i reckon it was a really good story :) after the movie, we had supper! (man, so much food x.x ) and it was BROWNIES. man they were soooooo good. be jealous >:D we turned off our lights pree early, but me and tessa stayed up talking... dunno till when though cause i didnt look at my phone for the time :\ but if you look out our window, you see this creepy tree D: it's cause everywhere else is dark, but this tree has like a light shining up from under it, so it looks haunted or sth :x dayum i should have taken a picture D:
thursday second day of t.o.k camp was less fun. more real work D: but then jane was there to make it wayy more fun cause she taught me the Oh! dance by SNSD :) i really like their music videos, everyone looks so cute! > w < i only learnt the intro bit and the chorus bit though... thankyou jane for teaching mee :) we stayed up really really late though, and me and tessa decided to crash at amy, jane and sally's room so we could talk :) it was a pree crazy night, with tessa sleeping in funny positions XD wish i had the pics, but jane has them... hmm i'll have to get them off her :) apparently the others slept at like 4, but i think i fell asleep at around 2... xD
friday finally the end of t.o.k camp :D nothing much happened, but we had a session about law, and i thought that was pretty interesting :) then we did this gay project about how we had to create a music piece and visual piece to reflect on the environment around us... and we also got told about our extended essays ): i'm so scared! D: i'm really worried i won't find a good topic or sth... > <; but after camp, it was the melbourne grammar boarder's social! the theme was uniform, so i borrowed a skirt from regina and a tie and a shirt from nanisha :) but no offense, the music was REALLY bad. it was so hard to dance to, so we just stood around :\ it was really funny though, cause im, a boarder, suddenly ran up to a bunch of guys taking photos cause she thought it was us XDDDDDDDD she ended up running away, but we all got in the picture in the end :) it was soooo randomm XD but i was too tired from camp and everything, so i just slept on the bus and as soon as i got back to the boardoo.

and then on saturday, i was supposed to go hangout with bertram and tracy, but he was sick on friday and tracy got grounded ): so chaddy outing was cancelled D: instead i went over to cherry's early to help carson with his project on some explorer dude x] and then we got ready for kevyn's sixteenth birthday :D i reckon it was pretty fun, except i was really nervous so i didnt really talk much :\ but i met heaps of really nice people and i had a really nice dinner (which i didnt have to pay for) i felt so bad, cause everything was so expensive D: thank you kevyn and happy birthday :)

hey ;D if you read my previous blog posts, then you'll know i went to victoria market today! it was soooo nice 'cause i missed mandarin, my spare -cries-, history and maths! (kinda sucks though cause now i have to catch up on these subjects -.-) well i didn't know we were supposed to meet at 8:45 instead of 9:00... and i NEARLY missed the bus. thank god raelene told me at voiceworks that juin said we were supposed to have met at 8:45...or else i would have been screwed. anyway, i sat next to tessa on the bus, and we talked about amaazing songs, such as two is better than one by taylor swift and the saltwater room by owl city :)
and then, the bus FINALLY stopped after what seemed like ages... and a funny conversation went somewhere along the lines of this:
annabel: omg it's ms snell everyone: OMG ITS MS SNELL. sally: for once i actually want hoxley. everyone: LOLOLOL. anyway, thank god my class got hoxley. i swear ms snell hates me )': though i love art and everything and she's an art teacher... no comment. LOLOL. anyway, we were assigned to this lady from the cooking school nearby and she gave us a 'foodies tour' :D and guess what it was about? YUP. FOOD. glorious, glorious foooood! so i started being a real asian tourist and started taking pictures (Y)

walking around victoria market really brought back memories...memories of when my family was still together. it was so simple back then. just seeing the places i used to visit with my mom, the food we used to buy and then savour together... D':
seeing eggplants make me think of how my dad used to cook eggplants often, cause it was my favorite dish... i miss my dad's cooking :( i'm so homesick :'(

i used to buy passionfruit yoghurt with my mom at the place we got our free juice. my mom loved that yoghurt...and i even remember once that when i came to melbourne to look for a boarding school, me and my dad went to victoria market and just bought a whole liter of juice and drank it in the car...simple yet precious memories.

also, i saw a fruit which i really brought back memories of me and my grandpa. i remember once, when i was really really small and we still lived in this povo-ish area in kowloon, my grandpa gave me this fruit to eat...it looked weird, kinda gross actually, but it was really sweet... i've only eaten this fruit once with my grandpa, but seeing it now, it makes me want to eat it again with him... this task will go down in the list of things i need to do when i get back to hong kong (:
hmm... so they're called custard apples. interesting. :) grandpa, i miss you <3
we also went by the seafood shop where me and my parents used to buy our fish and stuff...back then i really loved oysters, even the lady who worked there remembered me. me and my parents would always go to the market early on sunday morning... we even passed the polish deli where my parents loved. man it really brings back memories... memories of eating the smoked ham from there in the balcony of our first house in melbourne... it's so nostalgic.
i took a picture so i can show them when i get back to hk :) our favorite shop in the whole entire market!
afterwards, we went past koko black, the superultimatelyawesome chocolate shop! there was even samples! everyone craved it :) since i was too povo to buy chocolates, i took some pictures ;) drool over this guys!

(man, so much food x.x ) and it was BROWNIES. man they were soooooo good. be jealous >:D we turned off our lights pree early, but me and tessa stayed up talking... dunno till when though cause i didnt look at my phone for the time :\ but if you look out our window, you see this creepy tree D: it's cause everywhere else is dark, but this tree has like a light shining up from under it, so it looks haunted or sth :x dayum i should have taken a picture D:
thursday second day of t.o.k camp was less fun. more real work D: but then jane was there to make it wayy more fun cause she taught me the Oh! dance by SNSD :) i really like their music videos, everyone looks so cute! > w < i only learnt the intro bit and the chorus bit though... thankyou jane for teaching mee :) we stayed up really really late though, and me and tessa decided to crash at amy, jane and sally's room so we could talk :) it was a pree crazy night, with tessa sleeping in funny positions XD wish i had the pics, but jane has them... hmm i'll have to get them off her :) apparently the others slept at like 4, but i think i fell asleep at around 2... xD
friday finally the end of t.o.k camp :D nothing much happened, but we had a session about law, and i thought that was pretty interesting :) then we did this gay project about how we had to create a music piece and visual piece to reflect on the environment around us... and we also got told about our extended essays ): i'm so scared! D: i'm really worried i won't find a good topic or sth... > <; but after camp, it was the melbourne grammar boarder's social! the theme was uniform, so i borrowed a skirt from regina and a tie and a shirt from nanisha :) but no offense, the music was REALLY bad. it was so hard to dance to, so we just stood around :\ it was really funny though, cause im, a boarder, suddenly ran up to a bunch of guys taking photos cause she thought it was us XDDDDDDDD she ended up running away, but we all got in the picture in the end :) it was soooo randomm XD but i was too tired from camp and everything, so i just slept on the bus and as soon as i got back to the boardoo.

and then on saturday, i was supposed to go hangout with bertram and tracy, but he was sick on friday and tracy got grounded ): so chaddy outing was cancelled D: instead i went over to cherry's early to help carson with his project on some explorer dude x] and then we got ready for kevyn's sixteenth birthday :D i reckon it was pretty fun, except i was really nervous so i didnt really talk much :\ but i met heaps of really nice people and i had a really nice dinner (which i didnt have to pay for) i felt so bad, cause everything was so expensive D: thank you kevyn and happy birthday :)

and now, today. well nothing much interesting has happened i guess, so yeahh. heaps of hmwk :( and tomorrow is disney quad day... and boardo birthday party with a dress theme of holly wood :) maybe something interesting will happen ^ ^

hey ;D if you read my previous blog posts, then you'll know i went to victoria market today! it was soooo nice 'cause i missed mandarin, my spare -cries-, history and maths! (kinda sucks though cause now i have to catch up on these subjects -.-) well i didn't know we were supposed to meet at 8:45 instead of 9:00... and i NEARLY missed the bus. thank god raelene told me at voiceworks that juin said we were supposed to have met at 8:45...or else i would have been screwed. anyway, i sat next to tessa on the bus, and we talked about amaazing songs, such as two is better than one by taylor swift and the saltwater room by owl city :)
and then, the bus FINALLY stopped after what seemed like ages... and a funny conversation went somewhere along the lines of this:
annabel: omg it's ms snell everyone: OMG ITS MS SNELL. sally: for once i actually want hoxley. everyone: LOLOLOL. anyway, thank god my class got hoxley. i swear ms snell hates me )': though i love art and everything and she's an art teacher... no comment. LOLOL. anyway, we were assigned to this lady from the cooking school nearby and she gave us a 'foodies tour' :D and guess what it was about? YUP. FOOD. glorious, glorious foooood! so i started being a real asian tourist and started taking pictures (Y)

we went around all these stalls, where we got like free samples. we didnt get much freebies though...but still, it was good (: we even went to this perfume and soap shop...the stuff there was so nice smelling, but so expensive :x

walking around victoria market really brought back memories...memories of when my family was still together. it was so simple back then. just seeing the places i used to visit with my mom, the food we used to buy and then savour together... D':
seeing eggplants make me think of how my dad used to cook eggplants often, cause it was my favorite dish... i miss my dad's cooking :( i'm so homesick :'(

i used to buy passionfruit yoghurt with my mom at the place we got our free juice. my mom loved that yoghurt...and i even remember once that when i came to melbourne to look for a boarding school, me and my dad went to victoria market and just bought a whole liter of juice and drank it in the car...simple yet precious memories.

also, i saw a fruit which i really brought back memories of me and my grandpa. i remember once, when i was really really small and we still lived in this povo-ish area in kowloon, my grandpa gave me this fruit to eat...it looked weird, kinda gross actually, but it was really sweet... i've only eaten this fruit once with my grandpa, but seeing it now, it makes me want to eat it again with him... this task will go down in the list of things i need to do when i get back to hong kong (:

we also went by the seafood shop where me and my parents used to buy our fish and stuff...back then i really loved oysters, even the lady who worked there remembered me. me and my parents would always go to the market early on sunday morning... we even passed the polish deli where my parents loved. man it really brings back memories... memories of eating the smoked ham from there in the balcony of our first house in melbourne... it's so nostalgic.
i took a picture so i can show them when i get back to hk :) our favorite shop in the whole entire market!
afterwards, we went past koko black, the superultimatelyawesome chocolate shop! there was even samples! everyone craved it :) since i was too povo to buy chocolates, i took some pictures ;) drool over this guys!

as you know, i'm charmaine and i'm from hong kong (hk ftw!) but i go to all girls boarding school in melbourne. if you check my blog often,
you'll know that i'm a really bad blogger...this is my (enter large number here) th blog that i've tried to maintain...
the others kinda died because i never update or do anything, but i promise, i'll try my best to keep this one alive! :D

i kinda like a little bit of everything. i like listening to korean songs, japanese songs, chinese/canto songs and also english songs.
yeah i know i'm pretty weird since i like asian stuff and english stuff, but i guess thats just the way i am x]
but there's one thing that i don't like, and thats metal. (i call it screamo LOL) sorry for all you people out there who like it,
but let me just say im not a big fan of it, kay?
tv shows, movies, etc
i like to watch anime, asian dramas and english tv shows! as i have said before, yeah i'm like asian and white at the same time in terms of personality LOL
i've kinda stopped watching anime since i don't want to get addicted (which i have in the past), and same goes for asian dramas and english tv shows.
yeah i know, pretty sad, life without tv, but i never seem to find the time to drag myself up to sit in front of the tv in the games room.
i like watching uber sad stuff or uber funny stuff, and i really really like romance :] (yes, i'm still waiting for my knight in shining armour)
and when the movie is sad, i cry my eyes out. call me emo, but i like crying. i reckon it lets out all the stress, all the things that you can't tell people about.
it gives you an excuse to cry.
